Job Description:
Purpose: The Cook will manage all aspects of the kitchen, including preparing, cooking and presenting food, as well as keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic. He may also plan menus, check food quality and presentation, and train and supervise other staff. He will work closely with the Executive Chef.
Key responsibilities & Accountability: Observes and tests food to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Inspects food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
Turns or stirs food to ensure even cooking.
Seasons and cooks food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
Portions, arranges, and garnishes food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.
Wash, peels, cuts, and seeds fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
Consults with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration the factors such as costs and special event needs.
Butchers and dresses animals, fowl, or shellfish, or cut and bone meat prior to cooking.
 Qualifications: 
   - Education High School Graduate.
   - Experience: Have previous experience working in a kitchen providing meals for large numbers.
   - Training: Certificate with Basic Hygiene.
