The main purpose of this position is to design, develop and implement activities that enable Julphar to realize the maximum commercial potential of current and future Julphar products marketed in UAE. This position requires building/maintaining relationships with both internal/external customers including: UAE Sales and Marketing Team, individual physicians, patient, KOLs, and with key organizations, and select payer organizations.
Key responsibilities & Accountability:
Help create and maintain a strategic market access plan for Julphar products by working with the aligned business unit heads and directorates, develop strategy and tactics for the current and future portfolio in order to anticipate market access opportunities and remove barriers. Responsible for developing market access strategies and tactical plans as part of the business unit planning process, working closely with colleagues to ensure market access and policy plans are aligned to the business unit priorities. Creating a communicative unified vision and strategy for market access in the local market, aligned with Julphar brand strategy. Design, prepare, and tender relevant submissions to gain positive outcomes from public and private formularies as well as institutional buying groups/agencies. Remain current regarding the external market access environment. Identify and analyze trends/changes which will affect access to current and future brands, determine their implications and communicate to all internal and external responsible departments. Ensure all relevant scientific / sales / and business data needed are available in a timely manner. Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and their organizational relationships in key stakeholder groups (payer, patient and physician). To develop and maintain effective networks with a broad range of stakeholders within the UAE. Guide and respond to market access requests from the local customer facing teams in the field in order to fulfill business unit priorities and share best practice. Project manage and/or participate in programs in which data submissions are compiled for key authorities and medicines management bodies within the UAE. Build and maintain a network of key external stakeholders that will help Julphar shape the external environment offering quick access to the products for patients. Continue mapping key funding organizations, the influencers and decision makers within payer organizations to anticipate their current and future needs. Enhance profitability by proactively securing price, improving gross margin and return on investment. Create cross functional projects in close cooperation with Regional Marketing Leads and regional medical team for improving the access to Julphar products. Ensure barriers to product uptake and early adoption are identified and removed prior and during launch. Dealing with Insurance Companies regarding enlisting reimbursement, finalizing deals, and policies.
Pharmacist and/or MBA or other business qualifications will be highly valued. Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, health economics or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' experience in market access or health economics in the pharmaceutical industry, with a comprehensive understanding of the pricing/reimbursement environment and the government/payer review process. Understanding or experience in public relations and/or government affairs.
