The Business Development Manager will be responsible in securing the financial growth and development of the organization by providing strategic goals and introduce revenue-generating opportunities. The Business Development Manager will access the market by sourcing, screening and evaluating new products and business prospects. The position also requires to identify and evaluate the new products targets, and to achieve competitive intelligence in the Company's project areas.
Key responsibilities & Accountability:
Manages the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to major tactical activities to achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives, developing the appropriate tactics and tools. Manages promotional campaigns and follow up their implementation and reflection on sales. Builds the brand from being an existing idea all through the way until it is launched to the markets & will guide the company on the brand that he is responsible for. Responsible for sourcing, screening, evaluating, and leading new products and market access. Leads strategic and financial analysis that guide brand business development decisions including in-licensing pipeline opportunities, commercial co-promotion, and international opportunities. Identifies new generic product development opportunities that support the corporate strategy through market and industry research.Leads contract negotiations and coordinate with all relevant functional teams the successful completion of the specific form of agreement. Manages transition of a successful business transaction to project management and a cross-functional. Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities. Provides market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas. Drives increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company's ambitious growth. Analyzes product distribution needs and proposed effective and profitable distribution strategies. Initiates the registration of the brand in all countries, proposing forecasts, prices, and market shares, coordinate all relevant tasks to assure product registration. Seeks and identifies potential business opportunities for the Business Unit, networking to develop leads and convert to sales, both individually and jointly with Business Development and sales teams.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or university degree. Master's degree in Business Administration is highly an advantage.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years in a Business Development role.Experience in working wit senior management to align sales strategies and solutions.
- Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Functional knowledge of the clinical aspects of the Pharmaceutical industry, supply chain, dispensing requirements and drug distribution channels. Has very strong working knowledge of distributor operations, Government accounts, tendering processes, contracting and pricing methods, ability to formulate company position and negotiate agreements accordingly; awareness of and strong ability to manage to all regulatory policies and procedures; excellent ability to establish/maintain respected business relationships. Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities. Strong analytical skills, and experience developing forecasts and financial models.Excellent interpersonal communication and project management skills. Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business. Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
