Job Description: |
Purpose: |
The Utilities Team Leader will be responsible for managing all aspects of the utilities section in a pharmaceutical industry, including purified water stations, WFI stations, boilers, compressors, and other utilities equipment. The Utilities Team Leader will also be responsible for following the operation of the equipment, performing the preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring that all utilities equipment is calibrated, and validated in accordance with cGMP requirements. |
Key responsibilities & Accountability: |
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise the utilities team and ensure that all utilities equipment is operated, maintained, calibrated, and validated in accordance with cGMP requirements.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all utilities equipment to ensure maximum uptime and minimum downtime and follow the execution of it.
• Ensure that all utilities equipment is properly qualified and validated before use, and that all validation documentation is completed in accordance with cGMP requirements.
• Ensure that all utilities equipment is compliant with relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments such as Quality Assurance & production to ensure that all utilities equipment is operating optimally to support manufacturing activities.
• Develop and manage the utilities budget, including capital expenditures and operating expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Follow the spare parts and consumables stock
• Create the PRs for all the spare parts and consumables and follow releasing the orders
• Preform all the required review for the relevant equipment documents (Sops, logging book and others)
• Participate in the investigation of deviations and incidents related to utilities equipment and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by ensuring that all utilities equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Supervise the installation of the new projects equipment
• Review the technical offer for all the purchased items

Qualifications: |
|
- Education |
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical. |
|
- Experience: |
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on utilities equipment such as purified water stations, pure steam generators, WFI stations, boilers, compressors, and other utilities equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of cGMP requirements related to utilities equipment, including qualification, validation, and maintenance.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of technical professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time and within budget.
• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment and respond to emergencies as needed
